Men’s Golf
Thompson Rivers University Adam is back for another season in the BCCAA after winning the Individual Gold medal last year. With a season total of 576 strokes, Adam defeated Jessie Singh of UFV by 10 strokes to take the title. He golfed in all four of the 2008 BCCAA tournaments and the CCAA 2008 Nationals. He was tied for 6th at the 2008 CCAA Nationals with a 220 total. He is one of three identical triplets on the TRU squad this season. This past weekend, Adam led his team from a six place standing after the opening round to finishing fourth. He was sixth personally after the opening round with a 73. But he carded the second best round of the day—a 72 to finish at 145—three shots behind the winner. Gruber will be counted on heavily to lead this team this year with the departures of three golfers from the squad which won the national title in 2008. |
Josh is in his 1st year with the VIU Mariners after spending a year with Frank Phillips College in Texas. This 2nd year business student graduated high school from DW Poppy in Langley.
